Joined the Council on Aging (COA) call on 9-14-2026, just in time to listen to Jeff Levine of the Sudbury Housing Trust (SHT) present to the COA for over an hour.
Jeff drafted a COA Resolution (COA letter stating their support for senior and affordable housing at the Liberty Ledge property) that he was successful in getting the COA to vote unanimously to adopt with no changes. The COA was a mirror to the SHT resolution shared with the LLSAC Committee on 9-10-26.
Copy of the meeting agenda is enclosed, which did not mention Jeff’s presentation or attendance. His attendance should have been added, given his discussion comprised the majority of the meeting.
- I voiced my frustration during public comment at the 9-10-2026 Liberty Ledge Sewataro Committee (LLSAC) meeting regarding the manipulation that is occurring by appointed officials in Town, garnering support for senior or affordable housing at Liberty Ledge.
- The COA meeting on September 14th is another clear example of SHT appointed officials manipulating other Sudbury groups to support their political views.
Jeff shared some “SHT Math” demonstrating his mad math “skills” by stating the Town will make a $100K profit from each lot of land at Sewataro used for affordable housing, totaling $4.4 million (11 land lots with 4 housing units per lot, total of 44 housing units to be built). This estimate is simply not true.
Jeff spoke about the future tax overrides in upcoming years and shared this would be a great way for the Town to reduce the overrides. Of course, he forgot to mention the Town would lose Camp revenue and still need to pay the mortgage on the property….Not to mention the infrastructure and safety services needed to support the seniors, and impact to Sudbury schools.
Jeff then proposes taking some of the $4.4 million “profit” to overhaul the current swimming pond into a pool for Town use. He stated several incorrect facts, with one of the COA members correcting Jeff, and reminding him that the Camp operator is complying with his agreement with the Town.
Jeff then shares a draft COA Resolution dated 9-11-2026 on the screen for the remote participants to review. COA Chair Paul Marotta fully supported his buddy Jeff, just as he did in another meeting requesting P&R children be told to stay off the senior center lawn.
The group then votes to adopt the resolution as written with no changes – not noticing any necessary edits, such as changing the Sudbury Housing Trust to the COA.
Now we have the SHT and the COA submitting written Resolutions for their support of senior and affordable housing to the Liberty Ledge Sewataro Committee (LLSAC).
Wonder which Sudbury group will be visited by the SHT team next?
