a letter to LLSAC from Mark Marchionni, PhD
Dear Members of the Liberty Ledge / Sewataro Advisory Committee,
As your work nears completion, I thought I’d share this photograph taken this afternoon from my dining room window. The tree stands on the Sewataro side of the fence, glowing with autumn color as another New England season begins to change.
Over the past six months we have discussed land use, surveys, recommendations, evaluations, contracts, recreation, stewardship, and many other important topics. Sometimes it is easy to become focused on plans and processes and lose sight of the place itself.
This photograph is a reminder of what makes Liberty Ledge special. Beyond all of the reports and recommendations, it remains a beautiful natural resource that enriches the lives of residents every day, often in quiet and unexpected ways.
Thank you for the many hours you have devoted to this process and to the future of this unique Sudbury asset.
Best,
Mark
